We’re all logging off and looking forward to the weekend after another busy week. Here’s what our team got up to this week…

Team Birds is back together

It’s time for the SQUEAKuel…..

Laura and Phil are preparing for the next phase of work to improve species content and the range of species-related online forms. Over the next six months, we’ll be working to improve this area of our website for users. Before starting the next phase, we are:

  • mapping the final change form process in Miro
  • finalising the decision document, which sets out each step involved in creating a change form
  • adding additional administrative questions to the change form

Here’s what else we’ve been up to this week:

  • James has been advising about good UX for a PowerBI report about our river basin management plans. He’s also been finalising guidance for checking job advert analytics for our team wiki. He’s also prepping for a kick-off meeting about how do use insights to support team planning

  • Sophie and Mary met with various teams to discuss next steps on an internal communications strategy

  • Toyah has made the band two and three marine form live in the new customer platform

  • Jane published some content relating to recovered and recycled waste. She also did some more work with Mary on guidance for creating and writing links

  • Mary and Kim have revised and published the pay grades and salaries page to make the layout clearer. This page is used by external applicants and our staff to view pay grades

  • Mary did the last refresher Umbraco training session for the communications team. Mary has ran 14 one on one sessions with several follow-ups now being organised. Mary may need to run a few sessions for the new publishers

  • Sam and Laura published new content and a form to request access for utility and infrastructure work on NRW-managed land. A recent review identified a user need for a dedicated way to request access for maintenance and repair work on infrastructure such as pylons, power lines and transformers. Previously, users either contacted land managers directly or used forms that were not designed for this purpose

  • We’ve started publishing user insights on viva engage to show how our work is improving user experiences.

lovely customer feedback for our team
