We’ve had a very wet week again! But it looks like we’ve got a sunny weekend ahead.

Here’s what we’ve been up to this week:

  • The publishing team have been flat out this week! Hannah and Sophie managed to get through a pile of 17 marine biosecurity documents, which all needed a lot of work to make them fully accessible. Once the landing page has been set up, those will be ready to publish.
  • Kim and Mary have run another 5 one-to-one Umbraco training sessions with our communications team. The training focuses on some issues raised by a recent accessibility report on our website. These include how to add links correctly, how to structure content using the headings hierarchy and how to use the new image block function.
  • Kim travelled to London for a Hornbill conference, we’re looking forward to hearing all about it!
  • Sophie has also been continuing with her gwersi Cymraeg, and is doing brilliantly - da iawn ti!
  • Sam and Jane were focused on the forest management plan content as the deadline approaches. They had many meetings with subject matter experts to dig into complex internal processes.
  • Sam met with colleagues from the Welsh Government to chat about collaboration tools like Miro.
  • James is working on a blog about doing desk research.
  • Laura has been working with the permissions team on iterations to the ‘Check’ and ‘Apply’ services. She is also working on some iterations to the Flood Risk Activity Permit form - simplifying questions about the applicant and exploring how document uploads can be improved as users are duplicating uploads. Laura also joined the access request alpha to see the form designs - it’s mostly a lift and shift of the existing digital form with some changes suggested (these have been flagged by us as needing iteration)
