We’ve had another busy week in the Digital Team…

Here’s what we got up to this week…

  • Lucinda, Kim, Hannah and Sophie met to investigate our monthly log of 404 errors. They set up redirects, custom URLS and amended broken links wherever possible. This helps reduce the number of 404 errors in next month’s data. Each month we see the number of 404 errors reduce, so we are making good headway but this is not an overnight process!
  • Heledd shared a first draft of our team’s strategic approach to Digital at NRW for feedback. The aim is that this practical strategy will set a clearer direction for digital and shape new ways of working within DDaT and the wider organisation.
  • Shaun has been working on guidance about main rivers, water abstraction, and low risk water impoundment.
  • Lucinda met with Eve from the Wales Coast Path website to discuss converting PDF brand guidance into webpages.
  • Sam has been talking with Welsh Government’s UX community about doing a show and tell about our work on forest management plans. She’s also been working on guidance about hazardous waste and flood.
  • Laura met with Sam to discuss work on permission to use land we manage. She’s also been working on different design ideas for a bird control route in our species licensing web pages.
  • James held the fifth user interview to test our draft online application for forest management plans. He’s also writing a blog about conducting desk research.
